Document Conventions
In this document, Xandros Presto is simply referred to as Presto for brevity and to improve the readability of this text.

Presto is an easy to install program that works with Windows XP and Vista PCs. Next time you turn on your computer, you’ll have the choice of running Windows or Presto. With Presto, you can connect to your network and be productive in seconds. You can easily access your Windows files. When you’re done using Presto, you can turn off your laptop instantly.
Start up your computer in seconds — like magic. You will be able to instantly start to email, Skype, instant message, listen to music, surf the internet or download applications — before Windows XP or Vista even boots — and you will automatically be connected to the best available network.

Installing Presto
To install Presto, you will require a minimum of 4GB of free disk space. Please follow these steps:
- Download Presto from one of the availalbe download sites(http://www.prestomypc.com .
- As Administrator on Windows, Double-click on the Presto file you downloaded to start the installation wizard from the location you saved it in step #1.
- Follow the wizard instructions.
- When installation is complete - restart your computer.
- When - your computer restarts, select Xandros Presto from the Windows boot - menu that appears.
You can uninstall Presto by choosing - "Uninstall Xandros Presto"link under Start > All Programs > Xandros Presto

Users who have problems installing Presto can follow these instructions in order to send Xandros the necessary log file:
- With Presto already installed, boot into Windows and choose "Generate Hardware Report" link under Start > All Programs > Xandros Presto.
- A log file will be written to the desktop with the filename "presto_log".
- Fill out the Support Form http://www.prestomypc.com/support.php where you can attach this file and send the information to Xandros.
- With Presto already installed, boot into Presto and press <Ctrl>+<Alt>+T to open a console.
- type "presto-hwinfo".
- A log file is created in /home/user, however if possible, it also copies the file to the drive where Windows is installed. This way, if networking isn't working, you can still boot into windows and send the file c:\presto_hw.tgz to tech support.
- Fill out the Support Form where you can attach this file and send the information to Xandros.
